SEAN FLANIGAN
Sean Flanigan is an exceptional hair stylist and designer, best known for his role as Hair Department Head for award-winning, highly successful TV shows and films. He was Department Head and Designer for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans (Ryan Murphy, directed by Gus Van Sant). He has been Hair Department Head of The Gilded Age (dir. Julian Fellowes) since its inception, including the season 3 final (2025).
Flanigan has also been Hair Department Head for films including Sharper (dir. Benjamin Caron), Marry Me (dir. Kat Coiro), The Many Saints of Newark (dir. Alan Taylor), Wonder Woman 1984 (dir. Patty Jenkins), Shazam! (dir. David F. Sandberg), Fame (dir. Kevin Tancharoen), and The Irishman (dir. Martin Scorsese), 48 episodes of House of Cards (dir. Beau Willimon); season 4 of Mad men (dir. Matthew Weiner); and over 70 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy (directors Shonda Rhimes and Michelle Lirtzman).
Flanigan was also Hugh Jackman’s personal hair stylist for Three Bags Full (dir. Kyle Balda), Song Sung Blue (dir. Craig Brewer), The Death of Robin Hood (dir. Michael Sarnoski) and Deadpool & Wolverine (dir. Shawn Levy).
He was Hair Department Head and personal hair stylist to Ryan Reynolds for R.I.P.D. (dir. Robert Schwentke), and personal hair stylist to Kevin Spacey in Baby Driver (dir. Edgar Wright), Rebel In the Rye (dir. Danny Strong), Nine Lives (dir. Barry Sonnenfeld), and Elvis and Nixon (dir. Liza Johnson).
He was also Key Hair Stylist for Lie to Me (dir. Samuel Baum), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (dir. Joss Whedon), and The Guardian (dir. David Hollander) and began his creative career in the late 1990s hair styling on the iconic Days of Our Lives TV series (created by Irna Phillips, Ted Corday and Allan Chase).
